We will do VTL test and impact test.

VTL test method as below:

First put the PDC cutter to the VTL lathe and placing a rock sample (usually No. 8 granite) next to the PDC cutter. The rock sample is then rotated around the axis of the lathe at a certain speed. The PDC cutter is cut into the rock sample at a certain depth of cut. When tested with granite, the depth of cut is generally less than 1 mm.
